Schools Golf victory for Milton’s Roberts

Peterborough Milton’s Jade Roberts was the girl to beat in the net category of the Cambridgeshire Schools Championship as the 16-year-old won the under-18s competition at St. Ives GC.

The county girls team player, who was representing Ken Stimpson School, was a model of consistency as she had nothing worse than a bogey on her scorecard in a winning round of net 73.

Milton club-mate Michael Wood finished eighth in the boys gross competition.
