Leading county professional Charley Hull produced her best performance in a major for two years as she finished sixth in the ANA Inspiration at Mission Hills in California.
The Kettering golfer, who finished runner-up in 2016, compiled rounds of 69, 68 and 69 to sit in a tie for third place going into the final day.
Despite a double bogey on the third hole, Hull didn’t drop another shot for the rest of the day as she bagged four birdies on her way to another 69 that left her just two shots off the lead.
