NGL Hollingsworth Trophy – Group D

Staverton Park took a big early step towards reaching the last four as they began their campaign with a battling 3-2 away victory at Northampton.
The hosts took the first tie on the 17th hole, but Simon Brown and Paul Hammond levelled with a convincing win, before Russell Brown and Michael Christie gave the visitors the lead.
Although Northampton bagged the last point through Alex Izzard and Lawrence Ryan, it was only after Staverton had secured the victory thanks to Duane Hayle and Max Hayward’s win on the 18th hole.
