Selborne Salver success for Callum Farr
Selborne Salver
County first team player Callum Farr followed in the illustrious footsteps of Ross Fisher, Andy Sullivan and Matt Fitzpatrick by winning the Selborne Salver by one stroke at Blackmoor GC.
Farr was a model of consistency in his opening round as the Priors Hall golfer posted 16 pars in a level par 69, before carding five birdies, including three consecutive from the 12th hole, in a second round 65 to snatch the glory.
The former England Boys international, who plays with a handicap of plus two, will be hoping the win pushes him closer to the England men’s team, with a place in the GB & Ireland Walker Cup squad a target for next year.
