The Sports Journalist (TSJ) is Steve Jackson. TSJ is an experienced sports journalist, in all forms of media. TSJ takes the privacy of contacts and visitors to www.thesportsjournalist.com seriously so in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), below is the privacy policy TSJ uses.
Collection of information
TSJ collects information from a variety of sources, including meetings, telephone and email conversations and through www.thesportsjournalist.com. Personal information collected can include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, postal and social media addresses and photographs. Most pages on our website can be accessed without giving us your personal information. We use externally hosted third parties (Mailchimp and PayPal are our main partners) to manage and administer the website and contacts – this includes collecting statistical data, ie how many visitors, how often etc.

TSJ collects (not inclusively or exclusively); name, job title and date of birth, contact information including email address, postal address, postcode, Golf Club and golf handicap. This data is usually captured when you provide it, ie through use of the contact form on the website, but it may be obtained through other journalist sources. This information is only collected as a legitimate interest to a sports journalist.
Statistical Data
This is for website statistics, ie recording the users of www.thesportsjournalist.com and which pages they visit. The purpose of this is to improve the quality and efficiency of the website in order to maximise customer satisfaction.
