NGL Scratch League – Division 1

Overstone Park’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end at defending champions Wellingborough as they lost 5-3.
After winning their opening two home fixtures, Overstone remained in a topsy turvy contest until wins from Mark Davis and Jamie Milligan in the final two games sealed victory for the hosts.
Wellingborough went into the match in good spirits after thrashing Kingsthorpe 7-1 a week earlier at home – Steve Bailey and Roger Butler impressing with 7&5 wins.
Kingsthorpe faired marginally better 24 hours later as they went down 6½-1½ to Northampton, for whom Matt Bearman (7&6), Dean Roberts, Lloyd Skidmore (both 4&3) and Lawrence Ryan (5&4) found their form.
