Goodyear Challenge

Wellingborough Ladies Captain Mary MacLaren collected the gross prize in the Goodyear Challenge as she beat a field of 42 golfers from Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Warwickshire with a gross 76 at Ullesthorpe GC.
Club-mate Lema Townsend came closest to lifting the Net Trophy, which was first played for in 1897, but a net 72 was only good enough to secure third behind home club members Elaine Watkins (69) and Maggie Turton (71).
