Daventry
The lower handicappers at Daventry showed their prowess in the fifth Winter Medal as the leading three net scores came from top division players.
James Berry and Chris Balic both carded a net 71 apiece, but they had to settle for second and third respectively, as Daniel Haynes finished in pole position on 70. Mid-handicapper Nick Clews (72) won the second division.
Hellidon Lakes
Jon Thorne’s 40 points were the outstanding score in the Hellidon Lakes February Stableford as the 17-handicapper finished three ahead of Steve Arkell in the second section.
Len Edwards carded 37 points to clinch the lower division, while Darren Welsh was the best single-figure handicapper on 33.
Farthingstone
Simon Nightingale saw his handicap drop into single figures after a brilliant five-point victory in the February Medal at Farthingstone.
Four gross birdies were on Nightingale’s winning scorecard as a tally of 46 points lifted him well clear of Adam Smith, with Lawrence Smith a further point off the pace in third.
Collingtree Park
Forty seven points was a magnificent winning total in Collingtree Park’s February Stableford as Joe Johnson bagged the plaudits. Mark Spring was also in top form as he shot 46 points to grab second place ahead of Robert Horton (42).
Staverton Park
Kyle Grant enjoyed a three-point success in the February Stableford at Staverton Park as his tally of 40 kept him ahead of Tom Bodily.
Andrew Green and Bob Sheeky (both 36) were next, ahead of Paul Cooper and County Boys team member Max Hayward (both 35).
