NGL Hollingworth Trophy – Semi-final

Staverton Park booked their place in the Hollingsworth Trophy final with a 3-2 success against Peterborough Milton in the last four at Kingsthorpe GC.
Milton made the better start as Dominic Ralfs and Martin Humphries took the opening match on the 17th hole, while Michael Wood and James Walters strolled in with a 6&5 win under their belts.
Staverton responded brilliantly with two convincing victories from Russell Brown and Michael Christie (4&3) and David Gottsch and Andy Sant (7&5), meaning the result came down to the second game, which went the distance.
Joshua Morris and Tom Bodily were the Staverton heroes as they held their nerve to get the better of Paul Armitage and Matt Fovargue by one hole.
The other semi-final sees Northants County take on Kingsthorpe at Brampton Heath GC on Sunday.
