Midland Boys Closed Amateur

Owen Watts lifted the 2019 Midland Boys Closed Amateur Championship title after recording a two shot victory at Shrewsbury GC.
The Northants County member never looked back after posting four birdies and no bogey over the back nine in an opening round of 71, before shooting three more birdies in a 73 in the afternoon.
Watts, who was part of the Northamptonshire team that won the Boys Six-man Championship at Robin Hood GC in late May, followed in the footsteps of County team-mate Charlie Salter, who triumphed 12 months ago at Coventry GC.
