Overstone Park will go into the play-offs as the top seeds after ending the group campaign unbeaten with a 5-3 victory against Northampton at Kettering GC.
Northampton, who suffered their first defeat against Kettering the previous week at Collingtree Park GC, made a positive start as Gary Slinn and Christopher Kay took the opening two points.
Overstone didn’t panic however as they won game three, halved the next two matches before collecting their fourth team win in five outings with points from Ian Kennedy, Andrew Watson and Billy Beard.
Defending champions Collingtree grabbed their first win of the season as a strong middle order performance helped them earn a 4½-3½ victory against Wellingborough at Kettering GC.
Sam James, Aakash Shah, Trevor Twelftree and Jensen Parfitt all picked up points, while Ray Connolly bagged a decisive half point.
