Second attempt at Austrian success for Evans

Leading county male professional Ryan Evans was unable to discover his best form on his long awaited competitive return as he missed the cut in the Austrian Open on the European Tour at Diamond GC near Vienna.

The Wellingborough golfer was made to pay for a triple bogey six on the 18th hole in his opening round of 76, as a level par 72 on day two left him short of progressing into the weekend.

Although Evans is staying in Austria this week for another event on the European Tour he faces a slightly different challenge as he takes part in the Euram Bank Open on the mountainous Adamstal GC.
