Golby and Kyle progress into NGL Junior Grand Final

Oliver Golby (Northants County) and Jen Kyle (Overstone Park) booked their places in the end-of-season NGL Junior Nine-hole Grand Final after winning the Progress Junior Golf qualifier at Wellingborough GC on Sunday.

On a glorious sunny day, Golby carded a net score of 35 to top the boys standings by two strokes, while Kyle shot a net 37 to finish four ahead of Ashlie Neate (County) in the girls category.

Peterborough Milton’s Isaac Wakefield displayed his talents in the 18-hole competition of the inaugural Progress Junior Golf event as he compiled a brilliant tally of 43 points to finish two clear of the field.

Nicole Hamilton (Collingtree) collected the runners-up position in the nine-hole 150-yard girls competition, while Abigal Kyle (Overstone), Fin Jones and Jess Barby (both Wellingborough) picked up nearest the pin prizes.
