Paul D Taylor lifted the Men’s Jubilee Trophy at Staverton Park after edging one clear of Phil O’Hagan and Martin Fallows with 38 points.
It was a similar story for Graham Jefferies a few days later in the Seniors Arthur Merritt Cup as his tally of 39 points earned top spot by one from Robin Brown.
Hellidon Lakes
Countback was a necessity in the June Mid-week Medal and Captain’s Day competitions as the Hellidon Lakes members battled it out for the top prizes.
Ludlow Johnson beat Dante Serra in the Thursday Medal with a net 67, while Martyn Bannister held off the challenge of Ted Craig and Roy Trim on Captain’s Day on 38 points.
Whittlebury Park
Rob Watson, Kevin O’Keefe, Gill Long and Peter Snook were the combination to beat in the Pearson Pot at Whittlebury Park as their score of net 50 edged them one ahead of Tracey Mann, Carole Kane, Jim Kane and Adam Huckle.
Kingsthorpe
Brian Edwards won Kingsthorpe’s Seniors English Open by a couple of points from Tony Sereno (37), with Bob Wright one further back in third place.
Farthingstone
James Newton maintained his good form into the Summer Bash at Farthingstone as he backed up his runners-up finish in the recent Chairman’s Cup by claiming the top prize by one from Adrian Miller with 40 points.
Daventry
Forty five points was a breath-taking winning score in the Summer Stableford at Daventry as Darren Robinson bagged the honours by eight from Graham Reeves and David Musker.
Collingtree Park
Adam Haywood was a convincing winner of the Collingtree Park Junior June Medal as a round of net 70 pushed him well clear of runner-up Eathan Masters.
