Wellingborough
Mark Rashley, Martin Dalton, Adam Clifton and Jon Critchley were successful in Wellingborough’s Winter Men’s Am-Am after shooting 97 points.
Alun Rees, Chris Otterwell, Jon Dyer and Derek Saunders (95) bagged second by a couple of points from Ryan Layland, Darren Parke, Dale Botterill and Matthew Francklow.
Kettering
Ken Brookes and Lee Mawby’s total of 44 points was enough to claim first prize in the Seniors Fourball Betterball competition at Kettering.
The duo finished one ahead of Kevin McHenry and George Austin, with Iain Holliday and Cesar Gonzalez a further point off the lead in third position.
Priors Hall
The fourth round of the Seniors Eclectic competition at Priors Hall witnessed a thrilling conclusion as seven players came in with the leading score of 25 points over 11 holes.
John Smith’s strong finish proved crucial as he earned a countback win from Terry Glithero, James Allison, Daniel Lowe, Lewis Watt, Gavin Symington and John McConnell.
Countback was also required a few days later in the second week of the Winter League Doubles with Kevin Bullimore and Tom O’Donnell securing first place from Riki Jenkins and Patrick Donaghey on 30 points.
Rushden
Renny Wadsworth’s quartet were successful in the Rushden Team Betterball Competition after compiling an excellent winning total of 128 points.
Martin Pickering’s side finished just a single point behind in the runners-up position as they held off a team led by Scott Manning on countback.
Overstone Park
High-handicapper Eric Watson carded two gross birdies in the February Midweek Medal at Overstone Park as he smashed a magnificent round of net 54 over 16 holes.
Bhupen Patel (56) was runner-up by three strokes from Richard Towers, while Mike Webb needed countback to edge out James Ashwood in the 16-hole Seniors Yellow Tee Stableford with 40 points.
