Handicap League
Group B
Peterborough Milton and Kettering remain the teams to beat in Handicap League Group B after both recorded narrow wins against Wellingborough and Priors Hall respectively.
Milton head the table after securing their fourth victory in five outings as Mark Doody and James Middleton (three holes) helped them on their way to a 8-5 home success against Wellingborough.
Kettering remain just two points behind in second position after they did just enough to claim a 5-3 victory at local rivals Priors Hall.
With little to choose between the two sides for long periods of play, away wins from Asif Manji and Paul Wilson (one hole), Andrew Wright and J Russ (three holes) and Nigel Hanger and Nick Murray (one hole) made the difference.
Group C
Farthingstone grabbed their first home victory in Group C with a gritty 9-6 win against Brampton Heath.
The visitors clinched games one and four by three holes, but Farthingstone kept the contest level thanks to wins from Peter Butterwick and David Summerfield (one hole) and Stuart Bates and Ricky Brown (five holes).
With the last tie finishing all square, Farthingstone snatched the honours, courtesy of a three-hole success from Alan Bosher and Carl Harrison in the penultimate match.
Group D
Overstone Park strengthened their position at the summit of Group D with the help of a 13-3 home success against Oundle.
Once Jay Wiggins and Dale Burton had claimed the opening tie by seven holes, an Overstone victory rarely looked in doubt as Jon Ball and Dennis Britten wrapped up the scoring with a four-hole win.
Collingtree moved above Rushden into second place as a strong display from their middle order led to a 14-6 home victory.
Although Rushden clinched the first game by five holes, Collingtree quickly turned it around with four consecutive wins, the most comprehensive coming from David Combes and Geoffrey Smith (seven holes) in the penultimate match.
