Rushden

Brian Mitcham topped the scoring in the Rushden November Midweek Medal as the seven-handicapper carded an excellent net 67.

In the opening round of the Ladies Winter League, Jane Houghton’s team were successful by four points from the side led by Anne Bewers (35).

Priors Hall

Calculators were required following the opening round of Priors Hall’s Winter League after four players came in with the leading 11-hole total of 27 points.

Gavin Symington’s better finish proved decisive as he edged out Michael O’Sullivan, Reece Kirk and Brendan Breslin.

Kettering

Robert Henbury’s 38 points sealed first prize in the Seniors Anniversary Trophy at Kettering by one from Mike Cantillon and Asif Manji.

Countback was needed in the Ladies October Medal six days earlier as Ann Cooney squeezed in front of Kathy Morrison with a net 73.

Wellingborough

Neil Robinson was victorious in the last Seniors Lonsdale event of the season at Wellingborough as he carded a winning total of 42 points in the ninth round.

John Arnott (40) finished second by one point from Keith Banham and Brian Summers, who finished third in the overall competition behind runner-up Andrew Nicholls and champion Neil Smith.

Overstone Park

Six gross pars were on the winning score of Tom Meazza in the White Tee Mid-Week November Stableford at Overstone Park as the 21-handicapper smashed 43 points. Andrew Macdonald and Alistair Adams both carded 40.
