Kettering
Kettering Golf Club held separate men’s and ladies presentation days last month as they celebrated another excellent year for the oldest Golf Club in the county.
In a year when the Club’s Scratch side gained promotion into the top flight for the first time in more than a decade, County team member Jordan Darnell was amongst those men to collect club prizes.
Cathy Kemp, Amanda Campbell, Eve Wilkins, Vera Carter, Sarah Pattison, Vicki Lyness and Yvonne Harkess all picked up more than one award in the ladies ceremony.
Overstone Park
Anthony Richardson carded nine pars and a birdie in his opening 13 holes at Overstone Park on his way to winning the November Mid-Week Yellow Tee Stableford.
The 17-handicapper’s tally of 44 points meant he finished three ahead of Stuart Hammond, with Gordon Roan in third on 40.
By contrast, Mike Clarke left it late before clinching top spot in the November Weekend Yellow Tee Stableford as he parred four of the last six holes to nudge one point ahead of Chris Canham (38).
Priors Hall
Kevin Bullimore compiled an impressive 11-hole score of 29 points to win the third week of the Priors Hall Winter League as he finished one ahead of Liam Carr, with Steven Smith and Adam Geoghegan a further point off the pace.
Countback was required in the third week of the Seniors Winter Eclectic after three players came in with the best total of 25 points. Michael Greasley gained the verdict from Stuart Clark, with John Smith in third.
Rushden
Kane Attley’s fourball were successful in the Rushden Team Yellow Ball Stableford as they posted the winning total of 120 points. Ian Dickerson’s team were runners-up on 119, with Mark McGrath’s line-up a further four adrift in third position.
