Young Seb Palmer wasted no time in winning his first competition since joining Collingtree Park as he combined with Seb Welch and Josh Walker to clinch top spot on countback in the January Junior team event.
The trio carded an excellent tally of 30 points in difficult scoring condition to beat the duo of Jess Walker and Kirshan Panesar, who also finished runner-up in the individual category to Zac Davidson.
Kingsthorpe
Eight points was the margin of success in the seventh week of the Winter League at Kingsthorpe as Paul Tupai and Mark Spence produced a dominant performance.
The duo bagged 72 points to finish well clear of runners-up Duncan Hamilton and Mark Lineham, with Leigh Woodward and Neil Picton in third spot on 62.
Hellidon Lakes
Philip Gray was the player to beat in the 11th round of the Tigers Winter Merit League at Hellidon Lakes as his total of 36 points secured victory by five from James Symons.
Scoring proved equally tricky in the January Stableford as Graham Newport (33 points) grabbed first prize by one from Martyn Bannister.
Staverton Park
Thirty eight points was the best score in Staverton Park’s January Stableford as David Price grabbed the plaudits by one from Chris Cotton, with William Brown a further point off the pace in third position.
Daventry
The third Daventry Winter Stableford witnessed a two point victory for Kevin Lane (31) from Christopher Buckley, with Colin Long a further two back in third.
