Faldo Series Qualifier

Charlie Salter (Northants County) will compete in the Faldo Series Grand Final for the third successive year after winning the England South Boys Under-21s qualifier at Royal Ashdown Forest.
The reigning Boys County champion and 2017 Men’s County Champion carded five birdies in each of his opening two rounds of three-under-par 69, before bagging seven birdies in a closing 68 to finish five clear of the field.
Salter, who played in the 2017 and 2018 Faldo Series Grand Finals in the United Arab Emirates, will be joined in this year’s showpiece event by fellow County golfer Corey Neville after he won the under-18 category with scores 72, 69 and 73.
Fellow Northants County member Owen Watts was a single stroke back in second place, with another Northamptonshire golfer Joseph Quinn in sixth spot.
