Nick Statham, Gemma Mead, Stuart Emms and Shaun Gant formed the winning line-up in Rushden’s Betterball Team event as they bagged an impressive tally of 66 points.
Grant McKenna, Steve Sizer, Ryan Statham and Alan Clarke finished runners-up on countback from the Steve Kelly, Paul Bewers, Gerard Fowler and Mark Desborough (61).
Round six of the Winter League saw Mark Maddox, Michael Steventon, Martin Pickering and Laura Gant come in with the best score in each of the four divisions.
Northampton
Just one point separated the leading four players in the fourth round of Northampton’s Winter League as the players battled it out for victory.
David Holmes (33) claimed top spot on countback from Andrew Robinson, with Brian Edgington and Christopher Jones a further point behind in third and fourth respectively.
Priors Hall
Lewis Kirk and Reece Kirk were successful in the fourth week of the Winter League Doubles tournament on countback at Priors Hall.
The pair carded 27 points over 11 holes to edge out runners-up Paul Fennessy and Jason Ford and third-placed Graeme Thomson and Steve Shiells.
The Seniors Winter Stableford a few days earlier saw Pat Annand compile the best round of 23 points by two from John Lenaghan and Alex Henderson.
Daventry
Net 64 was an excellent winning score for Jason Smith in Daventry’s Winter Medal as he finished three strokes ahead of James Berry, with Daniel Haynes a further shot back in third.
Hellidon Lakes
The top prize in the Hellidon Lakes February Medal went to Chris Bass after the high-handicapper carded a round of net 70. Top division duo Richard French and Darren Welsh (both 72) were his nearest rivals.
Peterborough Milton
Countback was needed in Peterborough Milton’s Ladies Weekday Extra February Stableford as Ros Cuthbert edged out Suzanne Evans after both players came in with the leading mark of 30 points in the difficult conditions.
Overstone Park
High-handicapper Martin Andrew carded a magnificent winning score of 44 points in the February Stableford at Overstone Park. Julian Roberts (41), Brett Crawford, Jay Vierya and John Bryant (all 40) were also in good form.
Staverton Park
Christopher Walton, Joe Spittlehouse and Karl Fisher came in with the joint leading score of net 71 in the February Stableford at Staverton Park.
