County Men First & Second Teams

Northamptonshire men’s first and second teams made a positive start to the season as they both avoided defeat in their friendly matches with Bedfordshire and Warwickshire respectively at Northampton GC.
The county first team were in great form against Bedfordshire as they collected one victory and three halves in the morning foursomes, before dominating the afternoon singles ties.
Tiger Adams, Miles Mudge (both 7&6) and Max Hayward (6&5) recorded the biggest wins, while Charlie Salter, Liam McNeela and Joe Quinn also bagged points as Northants triumphed 8½-3½.
The second team were, as expected, given a sterner test by Warwickshire but still managed to grab a 6-6 draw thanks to singles points from Owen Watts, Tom Burgh, Jordan Darnell and Ryan Genner, who was the only home player to remain unbeaten.
