County Seniors

Northamptonshire Seniors moved to within one victory of clinching both the East Midlands League and the Anglian League after a brilliant comeback secured a 9½-8½ success away to Leicestershire & Rutland at Stapleford Park GC.
On a long course, the visitors struggled in the morning as they drew three and lost three of the six foursomes games.
But it all quickly turned around in the afternoon as Northants won the opening three fourball ties, before going on to clinch the honours with a 4&2 success from Mike Burnhope and Howard Boylan.
Northamptonshire, who sit second behind Notts in the East Midlands League and second behind Suffolk in the Anglian standings, take on Lincolnshire in their last match at Oundle this week.
