England Golf Hero’s Handshake

Kettering Junior Captain Gracie Murray’s charity fund raising efforts have been acknowledged by England Golf as she was handed the Hero’s Handshake award.
The 15-year-old, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and spent time in hospital earlier this year, helped raise more than £6,000 for Kettering Diabetes Support Group Trust and Junior Golf at Kettering GC by running a Charity Day last month.
The Hero’s Handshake, which is designed to recognise young people who get the most out of the game, identified this special achievement by handing over the award at a surprise ceremony.
