Overstone Park

Three gross birdies on the front nine helped Ben Smith set the leading mark of 45 points in the March Yellow Tee Stableford at Overstone Park.

The 10-handicapper finished three points ahead of Dan Akhurst, with Bill Wilson-Slight (41) and Sean O’Brien (40) next on the leaderboard.

Priors Hall

Forty eight points was a magnificent winning total in the March Doubles Stableford Competition at Priors Hall as Liam Carr and Callum Macreadie took the plaudits.

Anthony Lamond and Jamie Carlton (44) were runners-up by one from Sean Feeley and Craig Toseland, while Steve Shiells and Trevor Shiells missed out on a podium finish on countback.

Rushden

Simon Emery, Paul Cheadle, Daniel Sharp and Steven Bishop were the quartet to beat in the March Texas Scramble after shooting a score of net 61 at Rushden.

With three teams shooting 62, Andy Allen’s line-up were runner-up on countback from the respective sides led by Stuart Gates and Oliver Jennings.

Wellingborough

Matt Nutter and Chris Leonard both carded net 68 to lead the top division scoring in the March Weekend Medal at Wellingborough. Gary Grimmitt and Matthew Smith, who compiled his round on Sunday, were next on 69 apiece.
