Kingsthorpe
Ninety five points was an excellent winning score in the Captain’s Drive-in afternoon competition at Kingsthorpe as the team of Stuart Phelan, Mark Spence, Mark O’Neill and Paul Tupai grabbed the plaudits.
Duncan Hamilton, Mark Lineham, Andy Lay and Martin Basford finished runners-up, with Leigh Woodward, Carl Jonas, Neil Picton and Jason Withrington in third with their morning total of 90.
Staverton Park
Sharon Jones and Bronwen Curtis claimed the top two prizes in the Ladies January Stableford at Staverton Park.
Alan Bosher, Ian Lucas, Martin Lane, Colin Barnsley and Tim Hibberd were all successful in separate individual Seniors Nine-hole competitions towards the end of the month.
Whittlebury Park
Richard Crook and James Baldwin posted a superb tally of 45 points at Whittlebury Park to clinch first place in the seventh round of the Bruton Plate Winter League as they finished two ahead of James Barratt and Steven Jones.
Shaun Parker was equally as impressive in the latest Nine-hole Winter Stableford as the 12-handicapper bagged 23 points to finish three ahead of Rob Askham. Danielle Edwards won the ladies competition.
Hellidon Lakes
A single point was the margin of success in the 12th Tigers Winter Merit League competition at Hellidon Lakes as Thomas Haydon (37) got the better of Paul Shurvinton.
Daventry
Scratch golfer Daniel Haynes smashed a brilliant round of net 65 to win the fourth Daventry Winter Medal by six strokes from Mark Craig, with James Berry a further shot back in third.
