Kettering A made the ideal start to their Junior League season as they completed a 3-1 victory at Collingtree Park, who had won their previous match in Group D.

Although Collingtree’s Adam Haywood recorded a comfortable win, the visitors kept their nerve in the three tight matches as Joe Hyde won 2&1, before James Attwood and Jack Fowler both came through on the 18th hole.

Northants County A were also successful on their travels in the same section as they beat Northampton B by the scoreline 3-1.

Ollie Penberthy set the tone with a 4&3 win in the opening tie, before further points from Molly-May Baker and Mark Hampton confirmed the team victory. Matthew Reeve grabbed a consolation point for Northampton.
