Jane Rowe and Lyn Hayward both recorded 7&6 wins for Brampton Heath as the team completed a 5-2 home success against Delapre Park in the opening Group B fixture of the Cecil Leitch season.
Rosemary Hardie, Wendy McKie (both 2&1) and Susan Hancock(3&2) also collected points for Brampton, while Julie Edwards and Katie Ashton ensured the visitors took something from the match as they secured points on the 18th hole.
Elton Furze made a brilliant start to their Cecil Leitch Group C campaign as they defeated local rivals Peterborough Milton 6-1 at home.
Despite a narrow defeat in the opening tie, the hosts moved ahead with wins in the next two games on the 18th hole, before surging clear thanks to comfortable victories from Trish Crighton, Mel Steel, Jane Ross and Anna Fray.
