Ladies Cecil Leitch

Northants County got their Ladies Cecil Leitch Group A campaign off to a great start as they recorded a collection of comfortable wins in a 5-2 home success against Northampton.
Mary Wetherly (4&3) bagged the opening point for County, before Vivienne McManus (6&4) and Kerry Spooner (6&5) extended the lead with two convincing performances.
Margaret Childs and Helen Brownless did reply for Northampton with victories on the 17th hole, but it made little difference as Andrea Alston (4&3) confirmed the home win before Geeta Patel added another point down the closing hole.
