Ladies European Tour
Meghan MacLaren recorded her best result of the season on the Ladies European Tour as she finished tied sixth in the unique floodlit Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic at Emirates GC.
With all 56 ladies having to play one of their opening two rounds in the evening, the Wellingborough pro made the most of her second round in the daytime sunshine as she moved into the runners-up spot with a five-under-par 65.
Competing back under floodlights for the final round, MacLaren was unable to read the birdie putts over the closing stretch as she finished two shots behind Minjee Lee, who beat Celine Boutier in a play-off.
Fellow Wellingborough pro Charley Hull struggled even more in the darkness as she sandwiched a second round of 69 in the daytime between evening scores of 75 and 79 to finish 35th.
