Northants County made it two victories in two outings in the Ladies League as they defeated Elton Furze 3-1 at Peterborough Milton GC.

After a 3-1 success against Peterborough Milton last month, County wasted little time in securing another win, thanks to points from Katie Amos (5&3), Louise Harte (2&1) and Kate James (3&2). Susan Pawson bagged a consolation point for Elton Furze.

Ladies Cecil Leitch

Group B

Kettering moved above Wellingborough into first place in Group B of the Ladies Cecil Leitch League with a 3-2 home success against Rushden.

Eve Wilkins and Andrea Whitlam (both 5&3) gave Kettering the early advantage and although Yvonne Wilcox and Linda Smith replied for Rushden, the hosts sealed victory when Amanda Campbell beat Julie Beavan down the last.

Group D

Northants County produced a dominant performance away to Delapre Park in Group D as they completed a whitewash victory.

Carolyn James, Michelle Smith and Saliann Miles all shook hands with their opponents with holes to spare, Irene McGowan added another away point, before Kate Dennison wrapped up the perfect day for County on the first extra hole.
