Ladies South Midland Second Team Final

Northamptonshire Ladies second team completed their season with a comprehensive 5-1 victory against a strong and experienced Buckinghamshire side in the South Midland Final at Badgemore Park GC.

Skippered by teenager Amy Nunn in very hot conditions, the team made an excellent start as Claire Lindsay (4&3) and Chelsey Sharp (5&4) bagged the opening two points.

Although Buckinghamshire took game three on the 18th, it made no difference to the outcome as young rookies Molly-May Baker and Olivia Hollyoak-Church both won 3&2, before the County Captain Nunn added another point on the last hole.

The result meant Northamptonshire finished third in the overall South Midland table behind champions Berkshire and runners-up Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
