MacLaren misses cut in Arizona

Wellingborough professional Meghan MacLaren struggled to hole the putts on her first appearance on the 2021 US Symetra Tour as she missed the cut in the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic.

The 26-year-old bagged a lone birdie in an opening score of 76, before picking up just one more stroke in a second round 74 to miss out on the weekend by six shots.

After working hard over the winter on gaining more distance off the tee, MacLaren will have been pleased with her driving statistics however as she made the most of the warmer Arizonan air by averaging almost 30 yards longer than last season.
