Midland v South West Counties

Mikey Chambers (Overstone) and Charlie Salter (Northants County) played starring roles on their Midlands debuts in the end-of-season match with South West Counties as the duo helped the team record a 10½-4½ victory at Olton GC.
The pair combined successfully in the morning foursomes as a 3&2 win helped the Midlands side open up a 4-1 advantage.
Although the South West threatened a comeback early on in the afternoon singles, Chambers (5&4) and Salter (2&1) kept their nerve as the Midlands went to record an emphatic victory.
