Midlands Boys Closed Amateur

Northamptonshire golfers filled three of the top six positions in the Midlands Boys Closed Amateur Championships as the county youngsters demonstrated their strength in depth in the 36-hole event at Wollaton Park.

County Boys champion Mark Stockdale (Overstone) and Max Faulkner (Brampton Heath) finished joint-third on 143, while Josh Pritchett (Northants County) was sixth with two rounds of 73.

With Jacob Williams (Peterborough Milton) finishing tied-ninth, Josh Pritchett (County) claiming 16th and Joe Hyde (Kettering) taking 22nd spot, all the Northants contingent comfortably finished in the top half of the 60-strong field.
