Midlands Under-14 Boys

Elliot Strickland and Jack Peters will go into the Midlands Under-14 Boys County Championships this weekend in confident form after they combined successfully in the prestigious Stowe Putter competition at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire.
In an event that attracted over 100 players under the age of 14, Strickland triumphed in the under-13 category ahead of Peters with a nine-over-par gross score as the pair won the Team Shield for Spratton Hall School.
The duo will now join Jacob Williams, Joseph Hyde, Ed Keech and Joseph Ingham in the county team for the Midlands event at Broughton Heath GC on Sunday as they look to improve on last year’s seventh place on the Derbyshire par 3 course.
