Milton Juniors win England Team title
Peterborough Milton’s Juniors were crowned 2020 English League champions by winning the national team finals in front of the Sky TV cameras at Romanby in North Yorkshire.
After earning the right to represent Northamptonshire by winning the club team prize at the Junior County Championships this summer, Milton were up against sides from Essex, Cornwall, Dorset, West Yorkshire and the home county.
Led by team captain Euan Herson, the line-up of Jacob Williams, Rylan Thomas, Kai Raymond, Charlie Pearce and Matty Mills made a solid start as they sat in joint-second position after the morning session.
With Rudding Park, from North Yorkshire, struggling to maintain their form, Milton took up the challenge of overtaking the leaders as they held their nerve over the closing stretch of holes to secure a two-point victory.
