Staverton Park wasted little time in getting their Handicap League campaign off to a strong start as they inflicted a 27-0 home defeat on Delapre in Group A.

The result never looked in doubt once Joe Spittlehouse and Peter Trueman (eight holes) and Barry Harding and Luke Mailey (five holes) clinched the opening two games.

Three more big wins followed, before Staverton’s Nick Shakespeare and Phil Lane secured a narrow victory in the final match.
