Northants County went top of Hollingsworth Trophy Group A on points difference from Silverstone after recording a 5-0 home victory against Priors Hall, whose hopes of progressing are now over.
The visitors managed to take the opening tie to the 17th hole before losing, but were completely outplayed in the other four games by a County side, who will virtually guarantee a semi-final place if they win at Daventry in their last match on Sunday.
