NGL Hollingsworth Trophy semi-final

Kingsthorpe are one step closer to a record 14th Hollingsworth Trophy success after edging a thrilling semi-final with Northants County by a single point at Brampton Heath GC.
Taylor Sargeant and Mark Lineham gave Kingsthorpe the ideal start by taking the opening tie on the 18th hole, before Steve Jackson and his partner doubled the lead with a 2&1 victory.
County responded with a big win from Matthew Bird and James Dunkley, before Luis Witherall and Simon Blundell levelled up the scores with a narrow win.
With Staverton Park awaiting the winners for the showpiece final on Sunday, July 21st at Priors Hall GC, Jack Brown and Mike Burnhope kept their nerve for Kingsthorpe as they beat Andy Castell and Andrew Billson on the 18th hole.
