NGL Ladies County Championships

Some of the best up-and-coming local girl golfers will be looking to make the most of a rare opportunity to compete in the NGL Ladies County Championships as the 2021 tournament tees off at Kingsthorpe on Friday.

With the three-day competition not taking place during school term time, as it has for many years, over half of the 21-strong field this year are teenagers, including new Girls County Champion Shivani Karthikeyan (Peterborough Milton)

Northampton member Leah Ribano is the lowest handicapped golfer taking part in a field that includes only one former champion – club-mate Claire Lindsay. Last year’s winner Thalia Martin (Peterborough Milton) has since joined the professional ranks.
