NGL Matchplay KO Scratch Singles Final
Wellingborough’s Tiger Adams clinched the last NGL title of 2018 with a comprehensive victory in the County Matchplay KO Scratch Singles Final.
Competing against Northants County’s Owen Watts in the showpiece match at Northampton GC, the 19-year-old found his best form as he romped to a 5&4 win.
In a KO event for the best 16 players in the NGL Men’s Strokeplay Championships, Adams reached the final after beating Jordan Darnell on the 18th, gaining a quarter-final walkover win, before defeating Luis Witherall down the last in the semi-finals.
Watts qualified for the final after the Northants County member recorded three narrow wins against Jack Brown, Ian Wicks and Brendon Moss.
