NGL Men’s Order of Merit

Five major amateur Northamptonshire tournaments, including two separate Scratch Pairs competitions, will form the schedule for the 2023 NGL Men’s Order of Merit.

In addition to the Higgs Bowl, County Championships and end-of-season Am-Am, the County Golf Union are organising the Scratch Foursomes in April and a new Scratch Pairs event in the summer.

Competitions Director Marcel Aarts revealed: “We are holding a Scratch Pairs Open, played over 36 holes at Collingtree Park GC on Friday, July 28th. This event will also be included in the NGL Order of Merit.

“The format will be medal with greensomes in the morning and foursomes in the afternoon. The individual handicap index limit will be 7.4 and the entries will be limited to 48 pairs.”
