Staverton Park grabbed their second consecutive top division home win as they fought back from an early deficit to record a thrilling one-point success against Wellingborough.
The visitors looked in command early on as Chris Billson, Theo Brown and Adam Sherlock took three of the opening four games.
With Joshua Morris grabbing Staverton’s first point, the hosts quickly seized control thanks to three 4&3 wins from Giorgio Forgione, Max Hayward and Miles Mudge, before Andrew Swain confirmed the win with a half in the last tie.
In Division 2, Kettering moved into second position behind pacesetters Overstone Park with a 5½-2½ home victory against Cold Ashby, who remain point-less.
Big wins from Nick Keech and Dean McIntyre set the tone, before Ed Keech, Rob Stevenson and Jordan Darnell confirmed the home victory, while Jamie Ashcroft added a half.
Rushden avenged their narrow defeat to Daventry in their opening Division 3 match in June by beating them by the same scoreline 3½-2½ in the reverse fixture.
Michael Stephens, Dave Johnstone and Rob Price gave the hosts the perfect start by winning the opening three points, before Ian Dickerson confirmed the Rushden victory by halving the next tie against Dave Musker.
With points difference possibly being crucial in a division that also includes Farthingstone, wins from Chris Eveleigh and Daniel Haynes for Daventry mean the top two cannot be separated at the summit.
