NGL Scratch League – Division 3

Farthingstone ensured they avoided finishing bottom of the pile as they edged a tight match with fellow strugglers Whittlebury Park by a single point.
The hosts seized control early on as Anthony Marriott grabbed a half in the opening tie, before Simon Nightingale, David Summerfield and Anthony McCormack all added points.
Whittlebury responded with good wins from Shaun Davies, Jon Newman and Nick Mortimer but it wasn’t quite enough to lift them off the foot of the table as Adam Smith secured the winning point for the hosts.
