PGA EuroPro Tour
County pro Kyson Lloyd secured his playing card for the 2018 season on the PGA EuroPro Tour after finishing joint-third in final qualifying at Frilford Heath GC, Oxfordshire.
In a field of 243 golfers, the Wellingborough golfer fired four consecutive birdies over the front nine on the Blue Course in a score of 69 on day one, before making the cut with a steady 71 on the Red Course.
Needing a top 30 finish to guarantee more starts this year, Lloyd found his very best as he smashed four birdies in his last seven holes on the Blue Course in a score of 68.
Former county first team amateur Sam Buss also grabbed his card after taking ninth spot, but Harry Woan (Overstone) and Michael Campbell (Kettering) missed out.
Jack Davidson (Llanwern) won the qualifier by four shots after he was lucky enough to sink a hole-in-one on the 13th hole on the last day.
