Second for Northants in County Ladies Week

Northamptonshire had to be content with the runners-up position behind Buckinghamshire in the Midlands South Ladies County Match Week at Northampton GC.

The hosts got off to a great start as they hammered Berkshire 4-1 on the opening morning, before suffering a surprise 4-1 reverse against Worcestershire and Herefordshire in the afternoon.

Any hopes of topping the group disappeared the following morning with a 3-2 defeat to Buckinghamshire, but the team responded in excellent fashion with two convincing 4-1 wins against Warwickshire and Oxfordshire.
