Wellingborough golfers prepare for charity ride

Seven Wellingborough Golf Club members will be switching their golf shoes, balls and bags for bike clips, bells and saddles next month as they prepare to cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End for charity.

John Hewitt, Charlie Higgins, Chris Howes, Glyn Pepper, Jamie Jones, Martyn Annis and Tim Veal are amongst a group of 12 riders raising money for the mental health charities We Mind & Kelly Matters.

Hewitt, who put together the challenge in memory of his daughter Kelly, has received the support of England rugby union international Jonathan Joseph and former England footballer Kelly Smith as they aim to raise £10,000.
